Keeping the Los Angeles Lakers from falling behind their neighboring Clippers in the standings is the least of Kobe Bryant's concerns at the moment. His wife, Vanessa Bryant, has been awarded $75 million as part of a divorce settlement, according to TMZ. This represents close to half of their total assets, which are estimated at around $150 million.
As part of the deal, Vanessa will get three of the former couple's Newport Beach, Calif., homes. The family already lives in one of the homes, her mother resides in the other and the last one is currently under construction.
Vanessa filed for divorce on Dec. 16, 2011. She has accused Bryant, to whom she was married for 10 years, of cheating on her with multiple women.
In 2003 Bryant was charged with raping a Colorado woman, but the charges were later dropped.
