February the Month of Wisdom
James 1:5
"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all"
Prophet Sheka Mansaray |
Welcome
to the Month of February, this month is a month of Wisdom. MAY I Prophesy to
someone about this month? I PROPHESY FAVOR TO YOU this month, WHEREVER YOU ARE! I
PROPHESY THAT SOME PEOPLE READING THIS WILL HAVE RESULTS….
Definition: Wisdom is the experience that you gain going
through life and obstacles. As you age you experience all sorts of
situations—good and bad—these experiences are the key to wisdom.
Meaning: “These days’ people seek knowledge, not wisdom.
Knowledge is of the past, wisdom is of the future.” Quoted by the successful
Rugby footballer Vernon Cooper, this statement brings up an excellent point,
knowledge and wisdom, while stated as synonyms of each other, are very
different.
Have you ever heard the saying, "A wise man learns from
experience; a wiser man learns from others experience”? While I can’t find who
coined this saying myself, one word comes to my mind—wisdom. Dictionary.com
defines wisdom as: the quality or state of being wise; knowledge of what is
true or right coupled with just judgment as to action; sagacity, discernment,
or insight. After reading the definition above we can agree wisdom is dynamic
and deep word; however, I feel that wisdom can be explained in simpler terms.

the bible said "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives
to all" James 1:5 "The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge,
for the ears of the wise seek it out" Proverbs 18:15 "I keep asking
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the
Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better."Ephesians
1:17 "A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of
understanding"Proverbs 1:5 "Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it
not; neither decline from" Proverbs 4:5,7 "Give therefore your
servant an understanding heart to judge your" 1 Kings 3:9.
Application: Wisdom is the journey of life experiences and
way you grasp those hidden opportunities and apply them to your own life moving
forward. While knowledge is process of actively learning through reading forms
including education and/or study.
Conclusion:
We are not provided with wisdom,
we must discover it for ourselves, after a journey through the wilderness which
no one else can take for us, and effort which no one can spare us. The
knowledgeable man can be the Harvard student who has always worked hard on his
or her studies and is well educated. The wise man could be the former
troublesome juvenile, who through years of many diverse life experiences, has
developed into a successful adult—rich or poor. “We learn wisdom from failure
much more than from success. We often discover what will do, by finding out
what will not do; and probably he who never made a mistake never made a
discovery.” -Samuel Smiles.
