This word use to be a demeaning word and mostly used in fights... now it has turned to into words of endearment.

“THATS MY B***H, I LOVE MY B*****S, MY B****S HOLD ME DOWN”

you'll hear this atleast every once in a while, your peers, will use them, and whats even more stunning is the names of lady's on twitter that have bitch engraved in there somewhere.. Wherever you are there is atleast someone you know that just can't spend a day without using the word. For others, Its all in humor.

Why though? Why is the the word bitch so strong and and so prominent in our vocabulary.
How come its used for good and bad. Ah!

So where did all the b***ching Originate from?

The dictionary at dictionary.reference.com/browse/bitch
Tells me this.
 Origin:
before 1000; Middle English bicche, Old English bicce;  cognate with Old Norse bikkja

Word Story Originally, bitch  simply meant a female dog, and it still does. But around the year 1400, it gained currency as a disparaging term for a woman, originally specifically “a lewd or sensual woman,” and then more generally “a malicious or unpleasant woman.” The word is first found used this way in the Chester Plays of the 1400's, which has the line “Who callest thou queine, skabde bitch?,” translated by one writer into modern English as “Who are you calling a whore, you miserable bitch?” By the 1800's, bitch  was considered “the most offensive appellation that can be given to an English woman,” to the point where people started using euphemisms for the literal sense, such as lady dog  and she dog.
But language keeps evolving, and bitch  can now also be applied to a man, to a complaint, and to any difficult or unpleasant thing or situation. Used as a verb, we can talk about complaining (“bitching and moaning”), or bungling things (“bitching something up”), or riding in an uncomfortable position in a car (“sitting bitch”). When used in any of these ways, it's more slang than vulgarity, more colorful interjection than cause for offense. Nevertheless, care must be taken—there is a big difference between bitching  about somebody and calling them a bitch!  (Though it's O.K. to call their female dog that.)

As you begin to notice, today, the word isn't only for the fairer sex and this is even more worrying. :O

My friend has just been asked why he uses the word so much. Here is his answer
A: “I actually do not know it just happens  to be my favorite word, but if someone calls me a  Bitch we will probably end up fighting.”

So lets now delve in a little deeper and talk about these “bad b****es”
Without father ado, let me say that back in the day, they could have been called ladies, dames, damsels, and somewhere in the 90's they were independent women.

For all you could know, we could be talking about the The best looking/stylish/top notch female in the room/area.  But although, at the same time, we aren't talking about OPRAH. lol

Lets hit up the Urban dictionary and see what gives.

Alright we get the point, now what...
well, here is the twist.

The same women who would be upset at being called a “bitch” look for reasons to be called a “bad bitch”.
Even if your argument is “its a compliment”, my ladies are only to be called beautiful or, even cute than a “bad b****”. We need to expand our vocabulary and hold ourselves to a higher standard than being called a “bad b***” because we look nice. Why can’t someone stating “you look nice” be enough?

Ladies let me ask.
Do you want your boyfriend, brother, sister, brother….HUSBAND calling you a “BAD B****?
Is it really very desirable to be a BAD B*****

Let me leave you with this: Judging by the nature of this question, this is still a very young child asking and seeking advice how she too can become a bad bitch once again.
