First and foremost, listen.( now alot of us men say we are the best listener however trying to give all your attentions her when she is talking) Being a supportive and caring boyfriend/husband revolves around listening to what your lady has to say. Women, in most cases, feel joy when they discuss things going on in their life to you. Knowing that you care and want to spend time listening to what they have to say can reassure them that you love them and care about them.
Step2
Respect her.( respect can be a hard thing to give to some women however respect is a peace of mind which can give great feedback)Respect not only what she has to say, but the choices that she makes. Respect her opinion when it comes to the workplace, the home, or family decisions. Don't be afraid to voice your opinion, but don't ever come across as demanding or resentful.
Be truthful. When you lie to your wife/girlfriend everything else that you say or do will be tainted by it. By its nature, intimacy depends on an open and honest relationship between man and women. Wives/girlfriends have the uncanny ability to see through lies, no matter how trivial. Your relationship with her will grow and prosper if the two of you have a relationship built on honesty.
Step3
Surprise her.( well want that one lady that is there when we are in our lows and so they need that man that is there for them at their lows as well) Not every boyfriend/husband can go out to buy his girlfriend/wife a $4,000 diamond ring on a whim to say "I love you." (that would be little crazy) In many cases, the small things in life can be just as effective in showing your love and support of her. A single red rose to her workplace/home, a candy heart with "I love you" written on it, a quiet walk in a romantic spot,or around your area's and her favorite CD ( this you must know just in-case with other important things like birth day or day you stared dating) while watching the sunset can all be ideas that show her that you love her without costing a fortune. Be your girlfriend/wife's greatest supporter. She should always be able to rely on you. When in the presence of other, always back her up. If you disagree with her, discuss it with her when the two of you are alone. If you have offended her in any way, be quick to apologize, but do so honestly and sincerely.

Be willing to give up some of your time for her. Brother's i know we love making money or hangout the guys Whater it is writing,singing,work, or while the Sunday evening football game may be the event of the century in your eyes, sometimes giving up something that you want to do in order to spend time with her on something 'SHE" may want to do can be a great way to show your love for her. Both of you should have time set aside to do things that are important in each others eyes, but together time is a strong factor in building a healthy relationship. Treat your girlfriend/wife as a partner not a buddy or a slave. You should have done that when you were young, and maybe you were raising a family, but it will become more important as you grow older. For example, in matters of money, it may be easier to shoulder responsibility without her involvement. But since she will be directly affected by whatever decisions are to be made, she has every right to be involved. And you will feel better knowing that your partner has been in on the decisions and have accepted them.
Step5
Don't be afraid to talk to her. Many men bottle their emotions and events of the day up without spending the time to discuss them with their girlfriends/wives. While you don't need to tell her every little detail about your day or break down in tears every time you see her, conversation and emotion at times can help strengthen the bond that you both share. Communication is such a key to a successful relationship . Be honest and forthright. Regardless of how difficult it may be at times to admit a mistake, not doing so is far worse. By lying, you call into question your sincerity and truthfulness. Broken trust between man and woman will live on, eroding the caring relationship the two of you should be sharing as you grow older together. No one is perfect, and admitting that you are wrong is a strength, not a weakness.
Try to understand her point of view, even if it differs from yours. Listen intently, and avoid imposing your will on her just because you think another way. If you are proven right, allow her to save face, because you must avoid winning a battle while losing a war.
